Redmi K50 Pro Review: Display, Design
Redmi K50 Pro does not upset you about the screen. The high-resolution AMOLED screen, which is upgraded from 1080P to 2K compared to the previous generation, offers you a better visual experience in the videos you watch, the games you play and so on. The screen is flawless and impressive.
The screen is flat, not curved, with thin bezels. The front camera does not disturb you while watching videos. A very elegant and beautiful design was chosen. We can say that this device, which also supports 120Hz refresh rate, will give you great pleasure while using it.
Protected with Corning Gorilla Victus, the screen is highly resistant to scratches and drops. On top of that, it comes with a factory screen protector. We have to mention that the screen of this device is good in terms of durability. But this does not mean that the screen will not be damaged, it is useful to be careful when using it.
Finally, the display has Delta-E≈0.45, JNCD≈0.36 and also supports HDR 10+ of the DCI-P3 color gamut. Let me state that this screen, which can reach a very high brightness of 1200 nits in terms of brightness, has received A+ certification from Display Mate and will never upset you in terms of color accuracy, vividness and other similar issues.
As for the design of the device, on the top are stereo speakers with Hi-Res Audio and Dolby Atmos support, infrared and microphone hole. At the bottom, the second speaker, Type-C charging port and SIM card slot greet us. In addition, the thickness of the device is 8.48mm. Such a thin device has a 5000mAH battery and can be fully charged in 19 minutes from 1 to 100 with 120W fast charging support. This device has X-axis vibration motor. It will give you a very good experience while playing the game.
The device, which comes with a length of 163.1mm, a width of 76.2mm and a weight of 201 grams, has an inconspicuous Redmi writing on the left-down side. The cameras are circled. Below it is a flash and the camera bump written as 108 MP OIS AI TRIPLE CAMERA. It is clearly stated that the device has a 108MP resolution OIS supported Samsung HM2 sensor.
The back of the device was protected by Corning Gorilla Victus protection as on the screen. Finally, the Redmi K50 Pro comes in 4 different color options: black, blue, gray and white. In our opinion, one of the very stylish, thin and extremely beautiful devices is the Redmi K50 Pro.
Redmi K50 Pro Review: Camera
This time we come to the camera in the Redmi K50 Pro review. Let’s move on to the evaluation of the circled triple cameras. Our main lens is the Samsung S5KHM2 with a 108MP resolution 1/1.52 inch sensor size. This lens supports optical image stabilizer. It has 8MP 119 degree Ultra Wide Angle and 2MP Macro lens to assist the main lens. The front camera is 20MP Sony IMX596.
As for the video shooting capabilities of the Redmi K50 Pro, it can record [email protected] with the rear cameras, while it can record up to [email protected] on the front camera. We think Xiaomi has put some restrictions on this device. This is really weird because Dimensity 9000 with Imagiq 790 ISP allows us to record videos up to [email protected] Why are some things restricted? Unfortunately, we cannot make any sense of it. Oppo Find X5 Pro with the same chipset can record [email protected] videos on both the front and back.
Let’s take a look at the photos this device has taken now. The lightings in the photo below is not overly bright. The image is well rendered and pleasing to the eye. Of course, the 2 lights on the left look very bright, but when we consider that we are taking pictures with a smartphone, these are quite normal.
The Redmi K50 Pro does not overly illuminate the dark environment, and the photos taken are quite realistic, as it does not show the environment in a very different way. It offers you excellent photos by distinguishing the light and dark sides well. You will never be upset when taking pictures with this device.
The device performs wonderfully in environments with sufficient light. Even on cloudy days, the HDR algorithm allows you to capture many cloud details in the sky.
The photos you take with the 108MP camera mode are clear. Even if you go into fine details, it does not compromise on clarity. Although the Samsung ISOCELL HM2 sensor has some shortcomings, it is clear that it is still successful.
However, the Redmi K50 Pro has a bit of a hard time taking good pictures in extremely bright environments. For example, in this photo, the window is overexposed, while the color of the window edges has turned green. With new upcoming software updates, the camera performance of the device can be further improved.
You can take macro photos with the ultra wide-angle camera. But the photos taken are of average quality. It may not please you very much. It still has good close-up capabilities when you need to take close-ups and is well suited for photographing objects such as figures.
Redmi K50 Pro Review: Performance
Finally, we come to the performance of the Redmi K50 Pro. Then we will evaluate it in general and come to the end of our article. This device is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9000 chipset. The extreme performance core of this chipset, which has a 1+3+4 CPU setup, is Cortex-X2 with a clock speed of 3.05GHz. 3 performance cores are Cortex-A710 clocked at 2.85GHz and the remaining 4 efficiency-oriented cores are 1.8GHz Cortex-A55. The graphics processing unit is the 10-core Mali-G710. The new 10-core Mali-G710 GPU can reach 850MHz clock speed. We’re starting to test the performance of this device with Geekbench 5.

2. Redmi K50 Pro Single Core: 1311, 4.7W Multi Core: 4605, 11.3W
3. Redmi K50 Single Core: 985, 2.6W Multi Core: 4060, 7.8W

7. Oneplus 8 Pro Single Core: 903, 2.5W Multi Core: 3395, 6.7W
Redmi K50 Pro scored 1311 points in single core and 4605 points in multi-core. It has a higher score than its Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 competitor, the Motorola Edge X30. This shows that the Redmi K50 Pro will offer an excellent experience in terms of performance compared to its competitors. You will not have any problems while playing games, navigating the interface or performing any operation that requires performance. Now let’s run the GFXBench Aztec Ruin GPU test on devices.
1. iPhone 13 Pro Max 54FPS, 7.9W
2. Motorola Edge X30 43FPS, 11W
3. Redmi K50 Pro 42FPS, 8.9W
4. Huawei Mate 40 Pro 35FPS, 10W
5. Mi 11 29FPS, 9W
6. Redmi K50 27FPS, 5.8W
7. Oneplus 8 Pro 20FPS, 4.8W
The Redmi K50 Pro has almost the same performance as its Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 competitor, the Motorola Edge X30. But with a significant power consumption difference. Motorola Edge X30 consumes 2.1W more power to perform the same as Redmi K50 Pro. This increases the temperature of the device and causes poor sustainable performance. When you play games, Redmi K50 Pro will be cooler and have very good sustained performance compared to other devices with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Therefore, if you are a gamer, the Redmi K50 Pro is one of the best choices.
Redmi K50 Pro Review: General Evaluation
If we evaluate the Redmi K50 Pro in general, it impresses with its features. The Redmi K50 Pro is one of the must-buy devices with its Samsung AMOLED screen that supports 120Hz refresh rate in 2K resolution, 5000mAH battery with 120W fast charging support, 108MP OIS supported triple camera setup and Dimensity 9000 that impresses us with its unrivaled performance. We mentioned above that there are some shortcomings in video recording support and the illogicality of this. We expect the [email protected] recording option to come in the next updates. Despite this, the Redmi K50 Pro is still an affordable device and is unrivaled in its performance.
It was going to be available on the Redmi K50 Pro Global under the name POCO F4 Pro, but the development of this device was discontinued a few months ago. Unfortunately, the Redmi K50 Pro with impressive features will not be available in the Global market. One of the abandoned Xiaomi devices is the POCO F4 Pro.
